No Scrooges Here: Press Pillay Partners with Community Angels Toronto

Toronto agency makes Christmas wishes come true for local families.

Press Pillay, Toronto’s leading boutique digital communications agency, today announced its partnership with Community Angels Toronto to give back this holiday season.

Community Angels Toronto aims to offer support to underserved families in the community. Volunteers or “Angels” as they’re called, provide various services from running small errands to helping with correspondence.

“Partnering with Press Pillay has allowed us to increase the number of families who we’ll be able to help this Christmas,” said Community Angels’ Cindy Monk-Fuller. “As a soon-to-be registered non-profit, we’re looking forward to all of the changes and growth to come in the new year.”

Through the partnership, Press Pillay “adopted” eight families in the city and filled boxes filled with toys, clothing, gift cards and other items on the families’ wish lists. Last night the boxes were delivered to ensure the families have everything they need during the holidays.

“The holiday season is about more than consumerism – at its core, it’s about giving back,” said Nesh Pillay, Press Pillay’s Chief Executive. “We want to continue helping marginalized groups, and with our Pillanthropy initiative and this new partnership, we’re on the right track.”
